Birthday girl been watching a British bake off show and wanted these for one of the recipes. She loves it and that’s all that countsGot these for the purpose of making holiday cookies with my nieces and nephew. The end result was great and the kids loved getting to use them. The only advice id have is to have a damp paper towel nearby to gently press the stamp into each time before pressing into the rounded ball of dough. The designs transferred wonderfully and everyone enjoyed the process. Like any of my Nordic Ware products, these have proven to be an addition to my kitchen that I know I will create great memories with over the coming years.These cookie stamps worked perfectly. I put a little flour on the stamp before using it on the cookie dough. No dough stuck to the stamp. They are heavy weight and sturdy. I am pleased with these, just wish they came with more stamps. Kind of expensive for only three.I love these! They make my simple sugar cookies look adorable. I ordered them for our Christmas in July party. I will be ordering another set for sure.Well made stamp..dough consistency is key..deeper groves for better stamp then cut out with round cutter. Cookie dough balls do not work as well. Leaves rough edges.Just got these. The pictures do not do this product justice. They are much larger, like 2.3–2.5 inches (almost 6.35 cm.) And way more substantial than they appear. The boxing is also nice and I will use it to store them in the future. More to come once I use them.I'm baffled that there are no reviews for these stamps! They refer to them as heirloom stamps and they most certainly are! They are quite beautiful and extremely well made. I'm honestly tempted to order another set so my girls don't fight over them when l am gone. Lol! The designs are simple and elegant and give just that extra wow factor to your cookies. I greatly appreciate how the Nordicware designers achieve such elegance the way that they do. Their artists have such a sophisticated talent! I purchased these to make our own pretty sandwich cookies (think Oreos and they are slightly larger than an Oreo, so perfect!). They do need to be lightly greased to prevent them from sticking to the dough. Directions are on their box along with a nice recipe for peanut butter cookies. (Updated 2020, I purchased two more sets. Geo and Honey Bee sets. Same superb quality, same high recommendations from me.)The directions on the box are as follows:"1. Apply a light coat of oil to each stamp using a pastry brush or nonstick spray. Reapply oil if cookie dough begins to stick to stamp. 2. Hand wash only. Never submerge wooden handles in water. Wipe clean. 3. We suggest making cookie dough from scratch when using cookie stamps. Cookie stamp impressions will not be as defined if using prepackaged cookie mixes or refrigerated dough."Although they don't mention it, I would also add that you should condition the wooden hands every year or so. A light coat of walnut oil or mineral oil (super cheap from the pharmacy) would be a smart idea. Wood shrinks over time if it dries out. If you oil them once a year (No need to do more often then that- I have it marked on my calendar to condition all wooden things in my house once a year.), they really will last a lifetime, if not a few lifetimes!They are a joy to use and a joy to own. I'm glad I ordered them despite the lack of feedback from other users. They were nicer than I even imagined they would be. You won't regret purchasing them!These cookie stamps were simple and easy to use. Give the dough balls a light coating of white granulated sugar, dip the press into bowl of all purpose flour, shake or knock off the excess flour and then press on to the dough ball. Lift up the press, clean up the dough edges by using a circle cookie cutter or drinking glass and lastly, remove the excess dough around your cookie. To experiment, I did lightly oil one cookie stamp prior to pressing on to the dough and the dough stuck to the press leaving dough bits everywhere. I had only just received my cookie stamp, so this was my first trial run. After washing the stamps under running water, I noticed that one stamp had developed two cracks in the wooden handle (opposite sides and near the base where the wood is secured to the metal stamp). I just had a wonderful experience submitting a warranty claim with Nordic Ware who have been very responsive. After only five days since I submitted my claim on-line, they have replied that they are going to send out a replacement stamp. These stamps have a life-time warranty, so if you experience any problems, don’t hesitate to contact them (phone (877) 466-7342 CST).A bit spendy but really well made and the effect is beautiful. Made some gorgeous spiced rum glazed cookies and these helped keep the glaze on the cookie whilst looking super festive.They have a lovely design, however, one of the handles is crooked! Also, they didn't have as much weight to them as I was expecting which was a shame. They're sold as a very durable item but I don't really get that impression. A shame considering the price.Very happy with the cookie cutters. They are easy to use and leave a very attractive and well defined pattern on the cookies which remains clear after baking. I will use these a lot.not easy to use at first but cookie dough comes out beautifullybetter than modern silicone moulds!Was worried about ordering from amazon global but all good no problems would do it again lovely stamps.
