We have a group of harp players that meet once a month and I often bring the refreshments as I love to bake. I was so pleased to actually find a harp cookie cutter shaped so much like the Celtic harps we play. The cutter worked well using an old fashioned Christmas sugar cookie dough that doesn't spread or puff up too much. You might want to reduce the baking soda or other leavening in your dough so that you don't lose the imprint of the strings when baking. Also be sure to dip the cutter in flour before pressing into the dough on each cookie so it won't stick. You may have to experiment to find just the right thickness of dough...not too thick and not too thin.The cookies turned out great and everyone loved the harp shape!
