The picture doesn’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful spoon rest and excellent quality. Just measure to make sure it fits if you have a smaller stove and intend to use it there. A friend has one and hers does not fit in between her gas burners so she puts it off to the side.I bought this bowl for a gift. I love to mix and match our holiday settings! What a great price I bought two more. After all it’s Lenox!Perfect to rest punch ladle on at Christmas entertainments.Super cute. My only complaint, i wish it was a little bit bigger, otherwise it's great.So perfect. Beautiful and perfect size for the stove top.This "Lenox" Merry and Pine ? Utensil holder is exactly the quality you've come to expect from this brand. The only disappointing part is that it's good for pretty much only 1 to 2 seasons per year, but that's not saying you cannot find other uses for it the other two seasons of the year.I love that it is sturdy, easy to clean, I am able to put more utensils in it than the three that accompanied it.I like using wooden utensils especially with nonstick cookware.I suggest washing and thoroughly drying the utensils first, do not let them sit in any type of sauces, soups, etc. especially things that can alter the color of the wood.When I start to notice my utensils looking a bit dried out,I gently oil them with either coconut oil or vegetable oil.This utensil holder has been an attractive part of my kitchen/Christmas decor this holiday season.I believe it would make a fine gift, also if you do not want to use the holder to hold utensils, it would make a beautiful vase especially for poinsettias, or greenery, etc. There are so many ways to incorporate this item into your Christmas household decor.I've collected quite a few Lenox pieces over the years, from ornaments to tableware. This is a rather unique item, as it's squarely in the utilitarian/functional camp, yet has the decoration and style of Lenox holiday.The design is simply and effective: a single Christmas tree with splashes of red and metallic gold The gold elements are scattered throughout the circumference of the crock, with stars and dots in pairs that are reminiscent of holly berries.This is LARGE, which I suppose is good for a countertop utensil holder. However, it seems like a large, holiday item to serve one purpose and then get packed away after a few weeks. It's not necessarily something you'd display in a china cabinet.It does come with 3 wooden (they have the look of bamboo to me) utensils, but that is not my choice for my kitchen (sanitary reasons, of course) unless it's rice I'm cooking.It's big and pretty, but I want to love it more than I do.The Lenox brand is notorious for wonderfully crafted items and this product is no exception. I love the simplistic Christmas design on the utensil holder and the colors that were chosen. It is a nice size that holds all of our existing kitchen utensils along with the three wooden pieces that came with the set. The wooden pieces are a nice touch, but are not exceptionally quality compared to the items that I already use on a daily basis. In fairness, I am not a huge fan of wooden utensils normally anyway. I feel that this set would make a really nice Christmas gift for a friend or coworker, but I feel that the value is a little high considering it is technically only appropriate for a fraction of the year. The ceramic utensil vase is very attractive and I can see it being passed down, especially sporting the name Lenox on it, and I would recommend it for use by others.
