Taste good a little priceyI use this product as the base for different things I bake. It works nicely.I have used this for years to make my Christmas cookies. I don't know what happened this year but it seems that possibly the ingredients have been changed or something. The dough just wouldn't work like it has in the past. It was so dry and crumbly that it was impossible to roll anything for cut out cookies. After wasting one of the packages trying to remedy the problem I was finally able to find a solution but only after hours of wasted time and frustration. If you find you had the same issue which wouldn't be surprising try adding some milk until it gets to an actual workable dough. I even did a Google search for these cookies and found many reviews stating the same issue.These sugar cookies are easy to make and taste just like my grandmother’s sugar cookies. I have her recipe and have made them for years, never feeling the cookies I made tasted like her’s. These Betty Crocker Sugar Cookies have the taste I have been looking to replicate for years and so much easier to make.I think these are super sweet and that's before any icing is added. I made thick roll out cookies and they turned out good. The sweetness is off the charts though. I usually make them from scratch but wanted to try these for quickness. I probably won't use again due to the cloying sweetness.I love this mix. Simple, fast, and delicious. Maybe too simple, fast, and delicious. I tend to eat too many of them. My daughters love them and they think I am a master baker.I’ve been a home baker for 30 some years and specialize in cookies made from scratch. Until I made these, I would never dreamed that packaged cookies could be as good as those made from scratch. This holiday season I was short on energy for baking so I tried these because they were deeply discounted at my local grocery store. They are simple make, all you need is butter and eggs and they don’t have that artificial flavor of those you buy packaged at the store. My family inhaled them and remarked how good they are. My oldest son even asked me to bake more because they are “out of this world.”I’m sold and now everyone is happy! I will have more time with my family at the holidays and will keep a package on hand year around when we need cookies asap.Chewy good cookieComplete waste of money. I bought two. First one I followed the instructions exactly and they came out so dry and basically burnt. Second one I looked at previous reviews for any tips on how to improve the recipe and they still came out rubbish.All these cookies from one bag
